Fire crews respond to grass fire in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – Fire crews were called to a grass fire in northwest Oklahoma City Sunday night.

Initial reports indicate a grass fire sparked near northwest 164th street and Portland.

Officials say fire crews from Deer Creek and Oklahoma City responded to the scene.

At one point, officials said the fire was about a half-mile wide.

Parts of 164th have been blocked off while crews battle the flames.

No word on any injuries at this time.
