Police: Wedding ends in officer involved shooting

MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a deadly officer involved shooting in Muskogee following a wedding.

According to police, officers responded to a call about a man making threatening phone calls to a woman inside a church in the 1100 block of N 24th St. just before 4 p.m.

The suspect was armed, according to the original call and a witness on the scene, said police.

When the officer arrived he interviewed the suspect for a short time before the suspect took off on foot.

During the chase the suspect dropped an item, and while picking up that item was shot by the officer,  according to police.

A gun was found near the suspect.

The suspect, Terence D. Walker, died at the scene.
