HOLIDAY, Fla. (WFLA)  – A daycare worker was arrested after police say she was caught on camera kicking a toddler.

Surveillance camera footage captured a woman kicking a sleeping 15-month-old girl near Tampa.

The child’s mother says she dropped her off at the daycare around 6 a.m.

When she picked her back up, she noticed her daughter had abrasions on her face.

She says she immediately took her daughter to the hospital.

Surveillance footage shows the worker allegedly kicking the girl in the head and the backside.

Authorities charged 49-year-old Linda Klem with child abuse.

Investigators say she denied kicking the toddler in the head but had no explanation for kicking her backside.
