TULSA, Okla. — Police identified the suspect accused of killing a 70-year-old Oklahoma man.

Officers in Rogers County issued a Silver Alert after 70-year-old Gerald Hail was reported missing on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Tulsa Police Department found Hail dead inside of a motel room.

Police say Hail’s body was found behind the door and showed signs of significant trauma.

Hail was last seen in his 2004 White Ford pickup truck. The truck was not at the Super 8 motel when police responded.

Officials located Hail’s truck behind a church in Tulsa.  They transported the truck to the police lab for processing.

After looking through surveillance video, investigators tracked down the man who was last seen with Hail at the motel.

Officials believe 26-year-old Matthew Prince Hannah was the person last seen with Hail.

When detectives took Hannah into custody for questioning, they determined he was the man who allegedly killed Hail.

Hannah is facing charges of First Degree Murder.
