YUKON, Okla. - A silver car with plates from Rhode Island and Nevada is raising a lot of questions in one Yukon neighborhood.
Parents in the Westcreek neighborhood have reported seeing someone sitting in the car, taking pictures of kids at the bus stop.
A police report has been filed and Oklahoma City police are calling this suspicious.
"You can't even leave your kids at the bus stop," said one mother.
This mom who asked to remain anonymous is feeling on edge.
"Scared. Very scared," she said.
Late last week, she noticed a silver Nissan Altima on her block, with a stranger inside.
Parents and kids have reported the person appeared to be taking pictures of kids waiting for a ride to school.
"After speaking with neighbors, we're suspicious of sex trafficking," the woman said.
Police reports state the person in the vehicle is described as a white female.
When confronted by concerned residents the woman in the car said, "I can be here," before taking off.
Since they didn't get any answers, parents are not convinced she should be there.
"I can't believe what the world is coming to and it's right here in Yukon, in our home and it's happening on our street," she said.
For now, this mom is keeping an eye on her kids' every move.
"They are not allowed outside of the house without myself or my husband's eyes on them the entire time they are out here," she said.
Now nearby neighbors are rallying together, keeping a lookout.
"If I see a car that doesn't belong here, I keep an eye out," said Michael Dolan.
"With kids, I don't think you can never be too careful, especially with younger kids because they are so easily influenced," said Jordan Bowdish.
Parents are hoping police track down whoever this mystery driver is.
If you notice this suspicious vehicle in your neighborhood, make sure you call the Oklahoma City Police Department right away.
