Firefighters battling cold temperatures, flames to save Oklahoma family’s home

OKLAHOMA CITY – Fire crews near Del City worked to salvage a home from an early morning fire.

Around 3:40 a.m. on Monday, authorities were called to the 4200 block of E. Reno Ave. on a house fire.

According to fire officials, the homeowner noticed smoke inside the house and called 911.

Fortunately, everyone was able to get out safely and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters worked for several hours to fight the blaze and salvage what they could.

Initial reports indicate the fire may have started in the kitchen.

However, investigators say they will need more information before they are able to officially confirm where it began.

According to the fire department’s Twitter account, fire crews are also battling the cold weather.
