Multiple fire crews battle fire near Mulhall

PAYNE COUNTY, Okla. – Fire crews battled a large grass fire in Mulhall, Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon.

Initial reports indicate the fire sparked near I-35.

Crews called for Guthrie, Mulhull, Crescent, Payne County, Logan County, Crescent and other fire departments to assist with extinguishing the fire.

Officials say the fire burned about 200 acres of land so far.

Around 2: 40 p.m. Bob Moore Chopper 4 pilot Jon Welsh said the fire crews nearly had the fire out.
