Update: Body of missing Norman teenager found in Colorado

UPDATE: The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office says rescue workers found the body of 19-year-old Colton Shane Wilson in Colorado.

He was last seen leaving his dormitory at Colorado Mountain College on Jan. 29.

“It is with deep sadness that the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office reports that the body of Colton Shane Wilson, who has been missing in Colorado since last week, has been found. The body was found by rescue workers with K9’s in the area near where he was last seen. The family is very appreciative of all the prayers and encouragement that have been communicated to them through social media, phone calls and messages since their son went missing. The family will be making contact with law enforcement in Colorado to obtain further information and complete arrangements. Please continue to pray for the Wilson family as they go through this very difficult time,” Undersheriff Rhett Burnett, with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, said in a statement.

 

NORMAN, Okla. — The family of a missing Norman teen is offering a reward for information that leads his location.

Colton Wilson, 19, was last seen about 1 p.m. Jan. 29, as he walked away from his dormitory at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colo. Wilson’s family reported him missing to Colorado authorities over the weekend.

Wilson’s family is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to Colton being found.

Reports indicate that Wilson’s vehicle is still parked at the college. Nobody has heard from him.

Colorado law enforcement began searching for Wilson over the weekend. Wilson stands 6 feet and 4 inches tall, and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Wilson’s father is a reserve deputy for the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.
