UPDATE: Officials say Aycox was found safe about a mile and a half away.

KINGFISHER, Okla. – Authorities are searching for a Kingfisher man who walked away from a nursing home early Tuesday morning.

According to the Kingfisher Police Department, a silver alert has been issued for 62-year-old Clark Aycox.

Officials say Aycox was last seen around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

He was reported missing around 5 a.m. after he walked away from the First Shamrock Nursing Home, located in the 1400 block of S. Main St.

He is described as a white man, standing 6’1″ tall to 6’3″ tall.

Authorities say he should be on foot.
