MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – Authorities say a metro school has been evacuated, but there are no problems at the school.

According to officials with the Midwest City Fire Department, students were evacuated from Telstar Elementary School after school officials started smelling gas.

The children were moved to a church across the street from the school.

However, the fire department says there was no evidence of a gas leak.

They believe the gas smell is coming from an oil well nearby.
