UPDATE: Organizers say an event that provides free dental care to Oklahoma children has been rescheduled.

The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry rescheduled their annual Kids’ Day event to Saturday, March 28.

The event will now be held on March 28 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the OU College of Dentistry.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Unexpected medical expenses can often cause undue stress on a family.

The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry is helping families by providing free dental care for children.

On Saturday, Feb. 28, the OU College of Dentistry will be helping children between the ages of 4-years-old and 12-years-old by providing crowns, caps and cleanings to those in need.

Organizers say students will be performing the procedures under the supervision of trained dentists.

“The dental profession has an obligation to give back to the communities in which we live,” said Kevin Haney, D.D.S., professor and co-chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. “Kids’ Day allows us to reach out and provide care to those who may not have readily available access to a dental health professional.”

To register, call (405) 607-4755.

Registration is required and space is limited.

All patients must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The OU College of Dentistry is located at 1201 N. Stonewall Ave.

Appointments are available from 7:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
