Dramatic video shows home explode after gas leak reported

OCEAN COUNTY, N.J. – About 75 homes in a south New Jersey neighborhood were evacuated Tuesday morning after a gas explosion destroyed a home.

Crews were working on a gas main leak diagonally across from the home when the explosion happened.

The blast was felt up to one mile away.

Fifteen people were injured in the explosion, two of which suffered “extremely critical injuries.”

No deaths have been reported at this time.

Neighboring homes were also damaged.
