KINGFISHER COUNTY — The Medical Examiner’s office released Tuesday that the deaths of the Hispanic couple in Hennessey are actually being ruled a murder-suicide, not a double homicide, as was originally suspected.

The couple was found in puddles of blood in a Hennessey house last Friday. While Yanely Rodriguez, 23, was pronounced dead on arrival, Oscar Perez, 30, was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

The Medical Examiner’s office says that while both victims suffered stab wounds to the chest, Rodriguez’s death is being ruled a homicide, while Perez’s death is being ruled a suicide.
