TOPEKA, Kan. – The big Kansas State win over 8th ranked Kansas Monday night was not the only things folks were talking about today.  It was what happened immediately after the game that’s making news.

After K-State’s 70-63 victory, a sea of students and fans stormed the court, some even became violent and pushed other players.

According to ESPN, the Jayhawks coach even found himself pushed against the score’s table after the game.  Another coach helped him escape.

K-State Athletics Director John Currie expressed the school’s apology Tuesday.

The Big 12 Conference has now launched an investigation into what happened.

According to KSNT, this is the second time this month that Kansas has had the court stormed after its defeat.  Fans also stormed the court following a loss at Oklahoma State.
