Cowgirls Advance After Iowa State Win

The Oklahoma State women’s basketball team advanced in the Big 12 women’s basketball tournament after downing Iowa State 67-58.

Iowa State would cut OSU’s 23 point lead down to three late before the Cowgirls closed up the win.

Rhoshunda Johnson led OSU with 20 points, scoring 15 of them before the half.

The win gave Jim Littell’s club their 20th of the season, marking the first time in program history that OSU recorded 20 or more wins in four straight seasons.

OSU advances to play top seed Baylor in the semifinal round on Sunday, March 8, at 1:30 p.m. CT.

The Cowgirls have lost 13 straight to Baylor and are 0-3 all-time versus the Lady Bears in the Big 12 tournament.
