Reports: One man in custody after deadly mass shooting in Arizona

MESA, Ariz. – Police have arrested one person following a series of shootings in Arizona.

Officials say five people were injured and one victim is dead.

According to ABC 15, five people were treated by medics at a scene near Alma School and Main St.

Detectives say the alleged suspect shot three people at a motel before going to a restaurant and shooting another person.

At that point, the suspect stole a gray Honda Accord.

The suspect then allegedly broke into an apartment and shot a fifth victim.

Nearby officers found a sixth person who was shot.

A man called police after a woman said she was held at gunpoint by the suspect, who demanded her car keys and cell phone.

At this point, authorities believe the shootings are random.
