OKLAHOMA CITY -- Surveillance video captured a frightening armed robbery in southwest Oklahoma City.

Investigators are hoping someone recognizes the robbers, who didn’t waste any time.

They had their guns out and pointed at the clerk as soon as they walked in.

It happened at the Barri Financial group on S.W. 29 and Agnew.

The company primarily sends money to people or businesses in Mexico for their clients.

One robber ordered the clerk to step out from behind the counter. The other robber served as a lookout at the front door.

“A female customer tried to walk into the business while it was being robbed. One of the suspects grabbed her and pushed her back out the door very quickly, told her to leave and she certainly complied with his demands,” MSgt. Gary Knight said.

While the clerk was on the ground, the robber emptied the cash drawer. They got away with American money and Mexican pesos.

Police think the men had been in before because they clearly knew the layout of the store.

Police applaud the clerk for doing everything right.

“Your odds of surviving an armed encounter like that are certainly greater if you comply with the person's demands,” Knight said.

Police say the suspects got away in a gray Toyota Tundra that was parked in an alley across the street.

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 235-7300.
