Okemah woman’s suspicious death ruled a homicide

Okemah, Okla. — A suspicious death in the city of Okemah has been ruled a homicide.

Last Sunday morning, a family member found Elizabeth Jean Magness dead inside her home on 4th St. in Okemah.

The medical examiner has since ruled her death a homicide.

The Okemah Police Department has requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) for help in the investigation.

Anyone with information in the murder is being asked to call OSBI’s hotline at 1-800-522-8017, or the Okemah Police Department.
