OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities arrested an Oklahoma City man accused of stealing beer from a convenience store and attacking a clerk.

On Sunday, officers were called to the 7-Eleven along N. Western Ave. in reference to a robbery.

Witnesses told police that a man stole a pack of beer and then punched a female clerk in the face.

According to the arrest affidavit, 57-year-old Bruce Scott grabbed a 30 pack of Bud Light from the store’s beer cooler and attempted to leave without paying.

The female clerk stopped him and said she was going to call the police.

Witnesses told officers that Scott said, “I don’t care who you call. I’m taking this.”

When the clerk tried to grab the beer from Scott, the report states that he “struck [victim] in the face three times with a closed fist.”

Scott was arrested for robbery by force, assault and battery, public drunkenness and larceny of merchandise.
