OU Football Takes Field For First Time This Spring

The University of Oklahoma football team took to the practice fields on Monday, March 23, for their first spring practice of 2015.

In his 17th season as OU's head coach Bob Stoops welcomes four new coaches for spring ball.

Lincoln Riley is the Sooners new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Kerry Cooks will coach defensive backs, Dennis Simmons is in charge of outside wide receivers and Diron Reynolds takes over the defensive line.

Several newcomers took to the practice field for the first time.

Joe Mixon played in front of the media for the first time at OU, wearing number 25 and working with the running backs.

Several other Sooners made their OU debut on Monday.

Early enrollees John Humphrey Jr., a wide receiver, and running back Rodney Anderson both took snaps with the OU offense.
