NORMAN, Okla. – The National Weather Service in Norman confirms that yesterday’s storms produced more than one tornado in Moore and south Oklahoma City.

The strongest of these tornadoes was a high-end EF1.

Survey teams sent out to assess damage from the storms have concluded that winds there reached 70 to 80 mph “with embedded brief/weak tornadoes.”

The National Weather Service says the exact number and strength of those tornadoes will be determined over the next few days.
