NORMAN, Okla. — One man was killed when his car crashed into a utility pole last Wednesday.

Norman Police responded to a call near the 2900 block of E. Robinson around 7:30 p.m. March 25.

Reports say the 1991 Chevy pickup was traveling east on Robinson when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle drove off the road and into a pole on the north side of the roadway.

The driver, who was identified today as Marvin Secord, 52, died at the scene.

Authorities say no one else was involved in the collision. While the collision happened during the storms, the relation between the two events is still being investigated by the Norman/OU Police Collision Investigation Reconstruction Team.
