OKLAHOMA CITY -- A car chase leads to two men running away from officers.

One ended up in the Oklahoma river, and it was all caught on camera.

At last check, the other suspect had not surfaced, but police did an extensive search of a construction area where the new whitewater rafting park is being built.

Workers were forced to leave early after they found themselves in the middle of a crime scene.

"We were kind of wondering what was going on," Jose Chairez, a worker said.

"All of the sudden, patrol cars and motorcycle cops started rolling up," Fransisco Carrera, another worker said in Spanish.

The search was on for two men police say ran from them after they were pulled over for a traffic stop.

"I was over here, and when I least expected, they ran to a guy that was tatted up," Marcos Martinez, who was also working in the area said in Spanish.

He's talking about the suspect who decided to try and swim away from officers.

"Really, truly, I was scared because there were a lot of officers with guns in their hands," Martinez says.

The man in the river did make it to police without incident, but K9s were called out to resume the search for the second man.

"They just told us to go home because things were getting serious," Marcos says.

No one was injured in the end, but workers say it was a day they'll likely not forget soon.

"I was a little excited, everyone just seeing what was going on," Marcos said.

After police pulled the suspects over, officers realized they were driving a stolen car.
