OKLAHOMA CITY - If you are looking for a special meal to serve your family and friends, a popular concoction from a local eatery may be just what you are craving.

Kyle's 1025 Restaurant says the 'Hartman's French Toast' is one of the most ordered meals at the business.

In fact, it is known to out- sell prime rib and grilled salmon at brunch.

The recipe is as follows:

1 loaf Baguette, sliced in 1" slices, left for a few hours to become slightly stale
8 large eggs
1 Cup sugar
1/3 Cup Brandy
4 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
2 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
1.5 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
Fresh Strawberries, sliced
Fresh Blueberries
Fresh Raspberries
Chopped or Halved Pecans
Maple Syrup
Whipped Cream
Powdered Sugar

Whisk together eggs. Add Cream, Brandy, Nutmeg and Cinnamon. Whisk thoroughly. Place sliced bread into batter - turn once. Allow each piece to "absorb" batter. Place slices in pre-heated skillet or on griddle. Griddle may be tested with a few drops of batter - batter should bubble upon hitting the skillet. Cook each side until deep-golden brown, & center is moist and like custard. To keep warm, Place slices on a cookie sheet in warm oven.

 Garnish Order:
Over hot French Toast, drizzle Maple Syrup. (DRIZZLE - don't drown...)
If desired, sprinkle pecans over syrup.
Nice Dollop of Whipped Cream
Fresh Strawberry Slices around perimeter of Whipped Cream.
Fresh Blueberries (and Raspberries, if desired) in center of Whipped Cream.
Sprinkle thoroughly with Powdered Sugar.
