“Tornado touching down!” Terrified residents relay tornado to dispatchers through 911 calls

MOORE, Okla. – As a tornado barreled through southwest Oklahoma City and into the city limits of Moore, many residents were shocked by what was happening.

The Moore Police Department was flooded with phone calls for help and information.

On March 25, a tornado touched down in Moore, destroying businesses and homes in the area.

In all, 33 homes were destroyed in Moore. Several schools also suffered damage from the storm.

Amazingly, no one was killed. However, several people experienced minor injuries.
