BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Four unlikely suspects were arrested for trespassing this week.

Bartlesville authorities say vandals broke into Whaling Construction and damaged 40 pieces of equipment over the weekend, according to KJRH.

“They went office to camper to truck to piece of machinery. Just went down the line. Beat the headlights out, tail lights, everything,” said Brian Whaling, owner.

Deputies assumed to suspects would be back, so  they decided to stake out the company.

Later that evening, deputies say they caught the suspects red-handed.

The suspects were four young girls, all between the ages of 9 and 10.

“They actually went to that trailer and were going to go in that trailer unbeknownst to them that there was actually a deputy inside,” said Sgt. Jon Copeland.

Police say the four girls and three boys who showed up later were taken in for questioning.

Deputies say they could arrest three more juveniles for complaints of burglary and destruction of property.
