The University of Oklahoma continues to prepare for their 2015 football season as they grind through the spring season.

Bob Stoops welcomes four new coaches to his staff for his 17th season as OU's head football coach.

Lincoln Riley is the Sooners new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Kerry Cooks will coach defensive backs, Dennis Simmons is in charge of outside wide receivers and Diron Reynolds takes over the defensive line.

Riley will be in charge of managing the Sooners quarterback battle and naming a starter before their opener on September 5 at home versus Akron.

Baker Mayfield, Trevor Knight, Cody Thomas and Justice Hansen are all competing for the coveted starting signal caller role.

Riley says that the group of four is all getting equal repetitions in practice, for now.

The Sooners welcome several newcomers for spring ball.

Dede Westbrook, Rodney Anderson, Joe Mixon and several others have all put on an OU uniform for the first time in the spring.

After sitting out last season due to a suspension, Mixon has rejoined the team and is already drawing some rave reviews from his teammates.
