OKLAHOMA CITY – The missing 12-year-old girl from Oklahoma City has been found.

Ashley Schoenecke was last seen taking out the trash at her home on SE 29th St. around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.

The girl’s little brother told police that a bald, heavy-set, older white male driving a Nissan Quest stopped, got out of the vehicle, and opened a door to the vehicle.  The 8-year-old boy originally told police he saw his sister get into the man’s vehicle.

However, police say the boy later changed his story and admitted he and his sister made it up.

The boy told investigators his sister told him she was planning to run away, and made him promise not to tell.

Authorities then cancelled the Amber Alert for Schoenecke and started treating the case as a runaway.

Around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office said the girl had been found.

At this time, authorities have not said where she was found.
