Seven women to be inducted into Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame

OKLAHOMA CITY — Seven Oklahoma women will be inducted into the Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame Thursday.

The ceremony, sponsored by the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women (OCSW) will be at 4 p.m. at the Oklahoma History Center.

The event is free to the public.

“We are honored to induct these seven Oklahoma women into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame,” said Mary Louise Binning, Chair of 2015 Oklahoma Women Hall of Fame and a Commissioner on OCSW. “This recognition is a testament to the vision and contributions each of these recipients have made throughout their lifetime.”

This year’s inductee’s include:

  • Avis Scaramucci
  • Dr. Marion Paden
  • Dr. Ramona Paul
  • La Donna Harris
  • Mary Mélon
  • Patty Roloff
  • Thelma Parks

The Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame is one of several events sponsored by the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women to support its mission to improve the quality of life for women, children and families in Oklahoma.
