1 dead, more hurt when pickup crashes into 14 motorcycles on highway

STEPHENS COUNTY – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a fatal accident involving a group of motorcycles on Saturday.

According to initial reports, the crash involved as many as 10 motorcycles and a pickup truck.

A source with the OHP troop that has taken over the investigation into the crash confirms that 14 motorcycles were involved in the accident. There were multiple riders injured, however, an actual number has not been released as of 7 p.m. Saturday night.

The crash occurred on US 81 just a mile north of Comanche, when the truck crossed the center line and struck a group of motorcyclists.

One person has been confirmed dead and several others injured.
