Woman arrested after allegedly attacking first responders
OKLAHOMA CITY — A woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly attacking first responders.
Wanda Lee Crawford, 57, was being treated by EMSA around 5:30 a.m. when she reportedly woke up and became immediately aggressive.
Police reports say the woman kicked a paramedic in the chest when he tried to calm her down.
That’s when authorities say she was handcuffed.
Police say Crawford was ranting and raving, talking normally one minute and screaming about “random nonsense” the next.
Officials say the woman tested positive for cocaine in her blood.
That’s when police tried to put her in the back of the patrol car.
Crawford allegedly put up a fight, but with backup help, she was eventually taken to the Oklahoma County Jail.
Crawford has a history of Assault and Battery on a City Official and Drug Paraphernalia.
