OKLAHOMA CITY — A woman called EMSA around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday for a man who said he was having trouble breathing.

Allegedly, it wasn’t until EMSA arrived to the 700 block of N.E. 13th St. when the woman realized the man had been stabbed.

According to police reports, two men had an altercation because one owed the other money.

Reports say Casey Shea, 30, owed Roy Tryon, 56, $15.

When Shea refused to go to the backside of a building with Tryon, that’s when police say Tryon kept getting in Shea’s face. Shea allegedly said he didn’t want to fight, but when the other man wouldn’t back down, Shea ended up punching Tryon in the jaw.

That’s when Tryon pulled his right hand out of his pocket and swung something at Shea’s face, according to reports.

Shea says he believes the man was holding an ice pick between eight and 10 inches long.

Shea was hit several times on his left side, but reports say it wasn’t until Shea noticed blood that he realized he was stabbed.

OU Medical Staff told police Shea was stabbed three times on his left side and once in his chest, collapsing his left lung and leaving him in critical condition.

Casey Shea was transported the the hospital, and Roy Tryon was transported to the Oklahoma County Jail.
