Oklahoma police want you to be on the lookout for alleged kidnapping suspect

ALTUS, Okla. – Police in Oklahoma are asking for your help tracking down a suspected kidnapper.

Officials have issued an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Ashton Garland.

He is wanted for kidnapping and assault with a dangerous weapon, according to KSWO.

Garland’s girlfriend told police she and Garland were arguing earlier that day.  She said Garland kept her in a bedroom by blocking the door with a bed.

She told police that she got out of the room by breaking a window.

Once she and her son got out of the apartment, she told police Garland got into his vehicle and hit them.

She was taken to the hospital for her injuries.  The child was not injured.

Garland is a white male who is six feet, five inches tall. Officials say he weighs approximately 200 pounds.

Authorities believe he may be driving his girlfriend’s 1999 grey Ford Explorer with a New Hampshire license plate, 338-1059.
