THACKERVILLE, Okla. – A sex offender on the run from Texas authorities was captured in an Oklahoma casino.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says Charles Raymond Sprague cut off the electronic tracking device that he’s required to wear by law and left the halfway house he was living at in Fort Worth.

Considered a ‘violent sexual predator’ on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender List, Sprague has an extensive criminal history including aggravated kidnapping.

Sprague ran from the home early Wednesday morning. He was found more than 70 miles away at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma on Friday.

NBC 5 says authorities got a tip earlier in the morning that he’d checked into the hotel.

Sprague was taken into custody as he exited his room without incident.
