LYNNWOOD, Wash. (KCPQ) – A semi-truck loaded with more than 40 million bees overturned in Washington, sending the angry insects into the air.

According to KCPQ, a semi-truck blew a front tire and overturned, which released 448 honey bee hives onto the side of the road.

The bees were calm at first, but became agitated with the traffic and rising temperatures.

KCPQ says it is likely that 44 million bees were on the truck when it flipped.
