Reports: One person dead after car hits power pole, hundreds without electricity

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say residents in north Oklahoma City are without power after a deadly car accident.

Around 3 p.m. on Friday, emergency crews were called to N.W. 122nd St. and Portland Ave. after a car hit a power pole in the area.

Officials with the Oklahoma City Police Department say one person died in the accident and two others were injured.

Currently, OGE is reporting that over 600 people are without power in the area.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
