OKLAHOMA CITY – A 27-year-old Oklahoma man was arrested after allegedly attacking a blind man over a cigarette.

On Monday, officers were called to an apartment complex on N.W. 17th St. after dispatchers learned that a blind man had been assaulted.

The victim told officers that 27-year-old Joshua Kiehl came into his apartment and asked for a cigarette.

The victim eventually gave Kiehl a cigarette, but told him that he only had one pack left and could not give him any more.

When the victim went to smoke a cigarette in the building’s smoking area, he told police he was met by Kiehl, who asked for another cigarette.

According to the police affidavit, the victim was pushed when he tried to walk away.

“[Victim] said he turned around and felt [Kiehl] punch him with a closed fist on the left side of his face. [Victim] said that when he was punched, his glasses flew off his face and landed on the ground,” the report said.

Kiehl was arrested for assault and battery.
