Pitcher Sets Odd Record in Dodgers Win

It was a weird night from the start. Dodgers infielder Darnell Sweeny lost his bat on a swing that went 7 rows deep in the stands. A fan was hit, but was ok and even got to take home the bat.

And just like Sweeny, New Orleans lost control and it cost them the game. Literally.

In the first inning, Zeyphers pitcher Pat Misch beamed Darnell Sweeny, Austin Barnes, Buck Britton, Chris Heisey all in a row which scored a run. Misch hit 4 consecutive batters which set a Pacific Coast League record for hit batters in an inning.

That led to Dodgers star prospect Corey Seager driving two runs on a single to right.

But Misch wasn't done yet.

In the 4th, Misch plunked Kyle Jensen to set the PCL record for most hit batters in a contest with 5.

Oklahoma City cruised to a 5-2 victory. The two teams meet again Tuesday night at the Brick with first pitch slated for 7:05.
