OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say one man was arrested following an alleged burglary and assault.

Officers were called to the 2500 block of N.W. 15th St. on Saturday after a caller told police a man had been run over by a truck.

The victim told police that 22-year-old James Williams and another man came to his house and blamed him for breaking Williams’ cell phone.

The victim said the men walked into his home and said they would take something to pay for the broken phone.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim said the alleged suspects started unloading some of his lawn mowers.

At that point, the victim said he pulled out a BB gun and told the suspects to leave.

“The [victim] said he was standing on his grass about two feet from the curb and his trailer when [Williams] drove the truck toward him running over him,” the report states.

Williams was arrested for first-degree burglary and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
