OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma Arts Day at the Supreme Court Ceremonial Chamber is from 9-5 on Tuesday, May 5.

Representatives of more than 40 arts and cultural heritage organizations from across Oklahoma will host exhibits in the 4th Floor Rotunda from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a press release.

There will be live music, interactive art exhibitions and guided tours of the State Art Collection throughout the day.

Reports say more than 400 art supporters attended the event last year.

Oklahoma Arts Day is meant to raise awareness among state legislators of the economic and social impact of the arts in urban and rural communities.

The nonprofit arts and culture industry in Oklahoma reportedly has a direct economic impact of $314.8 million and supports more than 10,000 full-time equivalent jobs.
