MOORE, Okla. -- Heavy rain flooded numerous streets in Moore Wednesday evening.

Drivers headed on S. Telephone Rd. were forced to turn around because part of the roadway was covered with water.

"I could just tell that all of the cars were starting to turn around and go through our campus," resident Caitlin White, said. "I've never seen it flood like this anywhere near campus.”

Heavy flooding also caused trouble for drivers on the access road of I-35 in Moore, and water filled parking lots flooding businesses like Old School Bagel Café.

Owner Jason Atchison says he is unsure of the damage to his restaurant, but says the flooding will most likely cost him a day of business.

"Distraught, dis-shoveled, saddened. But I'm ready to get it cleaned up and get back to business," Atchison said.

He said he is just glad water was the only thing he had to clean up.

"Could have been worse. A lot better than an F5 for sure," Atchison said.
