PALM SPRINGS, Fla. – A high school principal in Florida is in hot water after police found her in the back seat of a car that reeked of marijuana with one of the school’s students.

Krista Eve Morton, 45, was arrested after police got a call about suspected sexual activity in a parked car, according to WPTV.

When police got to the car, they say they found Morton in the car with an 18-year-old male student from her school.

Her shirt was unbuttoned exposing her shoulders and part of her chest and the car reeked of marijuana, according to the police report.

Morton initially told officers that she and the student were “just friends, but she later changed her story and said they had just met.

However, the student told police a very different story.

He told police that they did know each other and Morton was the principal of his school.

Police found less than 20 grams of marijuana, a lighter, and rolling papers inside the car.

Morton and the 18-year-old student were both placed under arrest.

WPTV found out that the teen has a previous arrest for possession of marijuana.

Morton has been suspended from her job pending the outcome of an investigation by the school’s operator.
