New Thunder head basketball coach Billy Donovan isn't forgetting his Florida Gator ties anytime soon.

The former Gator head men's basketball coach paid a special visit to the Florida softball team while they're in Oklahoma City for the Women's College World Series.

Donovan is friends with UF's head softball coach, Tim Walton.

Walton and the Gator softball program also have several other Oklahoma ties.

Walton and Florida assistant Kenny Gajewski both played baseball at OU.

While Florida's pitching coach, Jennifer Rocha, played college softball for the Sooners.
