PALM BAY, Fla. – Police in Florida released graphic photos and videos inside the home of a family where three young children were killed, allegedly at the hands of their mother.

In March, 33-year-old Jessica McCarty called 911 to report that she was going to kill herself and had already murdered her three children.

“I slit my wrists and won’t be alive much longer,” she said. “I slit up and down, everything. And my three kids are dead.”

McCarty also told the dispatcher that she wanted to call her mother to tell her that she loves her and say goodbye.

When officers arrived, McCarty refused to drop a knife. Police shot her with non-lethal bean bag rounds, according to investigators.

Once inside the home, authorities found a bloody scene and the bodies of 7-year-old Laci and 6-year-old Philip.

They say 6-month-old Christopher died two days later from his injuries.

Investigators say a broken shower door in the bathroom was evidence that Laci fought to keep her mother from drowning her in the bathtub.

Philip was strangled, according to WESH.

Authorities also found a suicide note.

“I’m so sorry for what I had to do. I had no other choice,” the note read.

It also had a message for Christopher’s father, saying, “You were a good dad to Christopher. Please, keep his beautiful memory alive.”

The next day, investigators interviewed McCarty.

“I just don’t know how it happened. And I don’t believe that I don’t have my kids anymore,” said McCarty.
