HOUSTON, Texas – An American gymnast and OU graduate made history on a popular television show.
Jonathan Horton is known around Norman as a man who dominated the college gymnastics scene.
In London, Horton competed with the U.S. men’s gymnastics team for a second time.
In 2008, Horton took home the silver medal for the horizontal bar and helped the team earn a bronze medal in the Olympic games.
Organizers say at 29-years-old, Horton is one of the oldest competing gymnasts in the country.
While he is preparing for the 2016 Olympic games in Brazil, he took time to put his skills to the test on ‘American Ninja Warrior.’
During the show’s Houston qualifiers round, Horton dominated the obstacle course and became the shortest man to ever scale the Warped Wall.
Horton, who stands at just 5’1″ tall, was able to scale the wall on his second attempt.
