URBANDALE, Iowa – An Amber Alert in Iowa has ended tragically.

Tuesday night, an Iowa mother contacted police saying her nine-month-old son, Logan, had not returned home after spending the day with his father, Elvis Habibovich.

The Urbandale Police Department later determined the situation met the criteria for an Amber Alert and one was issued early Wednesday morning.

Shortly after the alert was issued, authorities in Missouri contacted the Urbandale police and let them know they found a burned out vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s SUV, according to WHO.

The bodies of an adult and an infant were found inside the vehicle.

Although the bodies have not been positively identified, authorities say all signs point to them being Logan and his father.
