STILLWATER, Okla. – A young owl was released back into the wild after being cared for by Oklahoma veterinarians.

Three weeks ago, a great horned owl nestling was found on the ground next to OSU’s Student Union.

The Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences took care of the owl and transferred it to a flight cage where she could literally spread her wings and fly.

Fortunately, it did not suffer any injuries but just needed some time before being ready for the wild.
