KANSAS — A reporter from a TV station in Kansas has gained a number of viewers after her outtakes ended up on the internet Tuesday.

KSNT reporter Katya Leick was doing a story about live fire drills at Fort Riley Military Base when cicadas attacked.

The large, noisy bugs continued to fly around Leick, causing her to flail her arms and shriek several times. The locust-type bugs just wouldn’t buzz off, and when one landed near her mouth, Leick totally freaked out and ended up throwing her mic to the ground.

Leick says it took about 2 dozen takes before she was able to get a stand up without the bugs attacking her.
