OKLAHOMA CITY – A man wanted for first degree murder was arrested on Friday.

Police officers say they were looking for Robert Nelson, 33, at an apartment complex in Oklahoma City right after a homicide warrant had been issued.

According to the police report, officers knew of the area Nelson had been known to hang out in and started knocking on residents’ doors.

Eventually, police officers found the apartment Nelson was staying in.

One resident told police that Nelson was in the back room.

When police opened to door to the room, they say Nelson was laying on the bed with his hands in the air.

He was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
