OKLAHOMA CITY - Miranda is a teenager with very specific dreams.
The 13-year-old loves trying on makeup and dressing up her stuffed animals.
Miranda spent her morning making a stuffed animal with the same attributes she possesses.
"So whatever you want your heart to be,” the employee at Andy Alligators in Norman said.
“Courage,” Miranda said.
She’s a brave girl with specific interests.
"I have favorite animals out of breeds. Like out of dogs, my favorite is an Alaskan husky,” Miranda said.
When she's not making no-bake cookies, she's skateboarding. It’s something she's been doing since she was 6-years-old.
She's also likes making music.
"I like to write songs. Read books,” Miranda said.
She also likes to play the guitar, clarinet and the recorder.
"I like the guitar the most. I grew up on it," she said.
Miranda has been under the care of DHS for more than three years.
She says she is ready to have a new future with a loving and stable family to guide her into her teen years.
"That just does some fun things once in a while, but I don't care about the things. I just want someone to love me," she said.
And to be a sister to someone.
"I've always wanted a little sister or big sister. I would prefer a little sister because I don't really want an older sister telling me what to do," Miranda said. "I would probably like two or three older brothers because I grew up with older brothers."
She knows what she wants in life. You can tell it's something she's thought a lot about.
"For my first high school job I want to work at Hot Topic just to get me started. That's a place where Gothic people can go and relax," she said.
What she wants to be when she grows up may surprise you.
"I want to be a car mechanic," Miranda said. "I just love cars. I love sports cars and Mustangs."
